Honorable Mention – Oil Painters of America 2024 Online Fall Showcase
My original colored pencil drawing "Perch Perfect", featuring three Anna’s Hummingbirds, was included in the 2025 Hoyt Regional Members Exhibition at The Hoyt Art Center in New Castle, Pennsylvania. This annual exhibition showcases work from artist members across the region and was on view throughout July and August 2025.
Honorable Mention – Oil Painters of America 2024 Online Fall Showcase
I am thrilled to share that my original oil painting, Stormy Feather, received an Honorable Mention in the prestigious Oil Painters of America 2024 Online Fall Showcase. This piece captures a white-tailed kite in a dramatic western landscape, framed by vibrant yellow-gold flora and fauna in the foreground and contrasted against dark, colorful storm clouds in the distance. The recognition from OPA, a leading organization in fine art, is an incredible honor and a milestone in my artistic journey. Thank you for supporting my work and sharing in this exciting achievement.
June/July 2025 Issue Southwest Art Magazine
"Stormy Feather", oil on canvas white tailed kite in southwest landscape appeared in the June/July 2025 edition of Southwest Art Magazine as part of a curated section featuring artists from Oil Painters of America.
Featured as an artist on Artsy Shark in November 2023, sharing my journey and my striking avian portfolio inspired by my passion for these ethereal animals. I invite you to step into my world, where I capture magical moments in the lives of birds through oil on canvas and color pencil techniques. Using impasto in my oil paintings, I create textured surfaces that interact with light and shadow, revealing dynamic elements throughout the day. For my color pencil originals, I work on fine grit boards to achieve detailed, lifelike feathers and strokes that tell a story. Each piece I create is designed to guide the viewer's eye, convey a mood, and evoke a sense of wonder. My art is an invitation to experience the extraordinary in the ordinary moments of life. I was honored to be featured in the Spring 2023 edition, showcasing my artwork Door to the Garden of Repose, which depicted a white peacock in a lush green garden with an arched stone doorway and a stone path. Printed and digital versions of the magazine were available.
